Human Instincts

Was watching a British documentary over the weekend and here are some snippets of the deeper desires of human instincts (aka the science of sex)

- Men are attracted to the women with hourglass figures (the bigger the bosoms the better it is). Women are attracted to men with the shape of the inverted triangle, meaning obesity is not appealing to women. It’s all about geometry.

- Women takes 9 months to conceive. Men can make hundreds and thousands of women conceive during those 9 months.

- Women do not say “Yes” to sex to a stranger man, no matter how good looking they are. Men says “Yes” to sex with a stranger as long as you are a woman (decent looking one, not Cindy Crawford)

- The female human is the complicated species because we do not show when we are ovaluting, unlike the rest of the animal kingdom. Hence the men have a hard time figuring when we are in heat, so they stick around to find out.

- Females are attracted to males with masculine features when we are ovaluting and when we are not, we are attracted to men with feminine features.

- Male with status symbol are like peacocks with colourful tail. The bigger and the more colours there are, the more attractive it is to the women. Don’t call us money grubbers yet, we are just looking out for the men who can provide for our children, like penguins. :)

- The men are attracted to curves of a woman because it represents fertility. And men are not the most lacking in fidelity. The monkeys are worse.

- The documentary acknowledge that while you can uncover the science behind sex, there is still a long way to go to uncover the mystery of love.

171009 As we are nearing the end of our trip, sis & I decided to complete all of the to-dos we had wanted to do and see before spending our last day for madness shopping.

1st up was to Tsukiji fish market. We had no idea that it was so big and we spent more than 1hr being list although we were there at 7. After finally found the place where all the sushi restaurants were, we settled for the one with the shortest queue and English menu.

The sushi and sashimi was so fresh and yummy that we finished everything in record time, as we were both very hungry by the time it was our turn. With our stomachs filled and happy, we proceeded to Dentsu Advertising Museum for a visit. There were award winning TV commericals and advertising campaigns on display from all over the world and what a feast for the eyes and brain it was.

Next stop was to Ginza where we immersed ourselves in the high end boutiques of Chane, Burberry, Gucci, Armani etc. Even the koban (police station) in Ginza had a interesting conical shape. We continued to walk to the Imperial Palace before moving on take a train to Tokyo Tower.

It was a windy and breezy day in fall and we were having fun snapping pictures as we walked along the streets lined with trees to Tokyo Tower. There was alot more walking to be done, as we headed to Roppongi next, passing by the Singapore Embassy, TV Asahi where there were a green carpet event. Finally our last stop for the day was at Roppongi where we had ramen at Ichiran for dinner before it started raining.

161009 the second day I had my swollen heel. Painful and was limping along the streets of Tokyo. But Sis & I still managed to accomplish alot with Max’s help.

Visited the observatory floor of Sunshine plaza where we saw Tokyo from the top which looks like a crazy maze of railway tracks, highways, buildings so close each other sprawl below us. Halloween is definitely in the air as pumpkin decorations were everything.

Max met us for a quick lunch at this yummy teppanyaki place where we had the yummiest beef we ever had. Melts in the mouth and oh so oily in a good way. He was busy cooking and we were busy eating.

After taking the purikura, we parted ways. Sis & I took the odakyu train to Shimokitazawa. Little streets littered with interesting shops, Sis & I found alot of nice stuff there which were cheaper than those in Shinjuku and Shibuya. It felt like the holland village of Tokyo with more fashion retail shops and vintage wear

Cakes for tea break became a necessity everyday in Tokyo and we found a quaint little cafe at Shimokitazawa. Also walked on a railway crossing for the 1st time. Cool!
